FAST CONNECTIONS ON THE STRAIT OF MESSINA WITH LIBERTY LINES
From 1 October Liberty Lines will guarantee the passenger transport service with fast vehicles departing between Messina and Reggio Calabria.
Connections will be guaranteed every day according to the following operating procedure:
FROM MONDAY – FRIDAY (weekdays): 16 departures from Messina and respective returns from Reggio Calabria, in the time slot from 06:00 to 21:00
SATURDAY – SUNDAY AND HOLIDAYS: 6 departures from Messina and respective returns from Reggio Calabria, in the time slot between 09:00 and 18:00
EVERY DAY INCLUDING SUNDAY AND HOLIDAYS: departures from Messina at 11.00 pm with return from Reggio Calabria at 11.40 pm.

From Reggio Calabria to Messina 35 min.

People with reduced mobility:
Liberty lines high-speed units guarantee access to all services intended for passengers with reduced mobility, as well as carrying out boarding and disembarking operations safely.
MULTI-JOURNEY SUBSCRIPTION
The subscription can be purchased at all Liberty Lines ticket offices or on 0923 022022, only after registering on the appropriate section of our official website, following the instructions provided on https://booking.libertylines.it/register A card will be issued virtual, which will be sent by e-mail and will be valid until December 31st of the current year; in the event that the identity document or the attached documentation will last less than one year, the date indicated therein will be authentic and valid. The release will take place at the end of the investigation, following verification of the documentation produced, within five (5) working days, from Monday to Friday.
In case of missing documentation attached, incorrect documentation, counterfeit documentation, missing data, the request will be considered unfulfilled.
TYPE OF SUBSCRIPTION
Ordinary season ticket – 40 trips in 60 days €80.00 – Documents required: passport photo, identity card.
Reduced season ticket – 40 trips in 60 days €60.00 – Documents required: passport photo, identity card, updated ISEE with income less than or equal to €15,000.
Student pass – 10 trips in 20 days €15.00 – Documents required: passport photo, identity card, university, or school enrolment certificate (University of Messina or Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria).
Law enforcement subscription – 40 trips in 60 days €50.00 – Documents required: passport photo, identity card, certificate of service with assignment in Messina or Reggio Calabria.
HOW DOES IT WORK
The subscriptions will be sold exclusively to those who demonstrate the existence of the requirements. The duration of the carnet starts from the first activation (use of the first ticket).
Once you have purchased the subscription it will be possible to book your trips through the App, on the online booking page booking.libertylines.it or at all Liberty Lines ticket offices.
Card renewal
Before the validity of the virtual card expires (1 month before), the updated documentation for the renewal request must be reproduced through the personal area available both from booking and from the booking app.
Nominativity and Non-transferability
All types of subscriptions are nominative and strictly personal, cannot be transferred to third parties and can be used if accompanied by a valid identification document of the holder. In the Booking area, when requesting a subscription, it will be necessary to attach the documentation below, accepting the consent formula.
The passenger who, during boarding checks, is found without a regular ticket or in possession of a discounted fare ticket without being entitled to it is required to purchase a regular full fare ticket and loses the right to reimbursement in compliance with the conditions and violations of the General Conditions of Passenger Transport Liberty Lines S.p.A.
REIMBURSEMENT
The reimbursement of the entire Carnet is allowed only before the start of use with the 20% withholding. After the first use the carnet is not refundable, not even partially. Once the validity period of the carnet has expired, any unused coupons cannot be used or refunded, unless it is documented that the non-use was due to a cause attributable to Liberty Lines (including the interruption of the line to which the ticket refers). reference route for a period exceeding 3 days.
TRENITALIA PROMOTION
Cartafreccia holders will have a 10% discount on the ordinary rate. Holders of a Trenitalia travel ticket, used in the 24 hours preceding the travel date, will have a 10% discount on the ordinary fare. These discounts will be available at Liberty Lines ticket offices.
