The pearl of Albania

A holiday in Sarandë

On the border with Greece, embraced by a fantastic bay overlooking the sea, is the lively town of Sarandë. Its strongest features are, certainly, the beaches, which are corners of paradise with crystal clear waters, and whose composition range from white sand to limestone. However, there is also no lack of cultural attractions and places to have fun in the evening. Thanks to its location, Sarandë offers a beautiful view of the island of Corfu, which is just under 15 km away. Let our hydrofoils take you to a real paradise on earth.

The island is reachable thanks to the convenient connections from Corfu with IONIAN SEAWAYS

Original, Free, Lively

Sarandë, in Italian called Santi Quaranta, is a town on the Albanian Riviera, in the south of the country. Squashed between the Ionian Sea and hills covered with olive groves, the town stands on a horseshoe-shaped bay with beaches and a seafront promenade. In the centre are the archaeological remains of a 5th century synagogue, which later became an early Christian basilica. Intricate mosaic floors are still visible.

Characterized by a typically Mediterranean climate, Sarandë enjoys rather mild winters and warm but pleasant summers, as the position within the sea bay guarantees a constant breeze coming from the hills that frame the town. Not to be missed is the Lëkurësi Castle (which now houses a restaurant) from where you can enjoy a magnificent view of Sarandë and the Butrint Lagoon, the ancient Synagogue and the Museum of Archaeology.
