A holiday in Piran
The most beautiful town on the Slovenian coast grew thanks to salt. The Piran salt pans, where the valuable salt flower is still extracted according to old methods, were the source of the development of this picturesque Mediterranean town with its walls, its panoramic church and its cultural sites of interest.

An ancient port city, it preserves the remains of the medieval walls and is entirely protected as a cultural-historical monument.
From the high ground of the church, the narrow streets, with houses one on top of the other, stretch out towards the central square and the coast, underlining its Mediterranean character. A cosmopolitan seaside town developed under the influence of nearby Venice, it is one of the most authentic and photogenic centres on the Adriatic coast.
