San Marco e Santa Teresa

undefined

San Marco and Santa Teresa are two hills upon which the main public, political and sacred events of the Punic and Roman settlements were concentrated. On the hill of San Marco, numerous cisterns and water channels have been found, testifying to the presence of an ancient public water system. Inside one of these cisterns, the three imperial heads of Julius Caesar, Antonia Minor and Titus were discovered. Every year, universities from all over the world conduct excavation campaigns during the summer season.
