The bays of Marina Corta and Marina Lunga

undefined

On the sides of the Port of Lipari, at the foot of its Town Hall, the bays of Marina Corta and Marina Lunga stretch out. The urban area is located just behind the two bays, and Lipari, of all the islands, is the closest to being a real small town. It is the island that is rich in wild, unspoiled areas, as well as human-friendly areas. Marina Corta is characteristic for the beauty of the arrangement of the churches overlooking the sea, churches that are populated by tourists especially in the Easter period to admire the beautiful Easter Day procession. The alleyways are wonderful and characteristic, with their stone flooring and narrow streets framed by small balconies with wrought iron railings and colourful plants. Walking through these alleyways means letting yourself be carried away from our times. From Marina Corta you can easily reach the port and Marina Lunga. Before reaching the port, you must walk along the wonderful main street of Lipari. Women who love shopping can really consider themselves in "Toyland". Shops everywhere, hospitable and courteous traders. The main street is animated at all times because there are so many venues and shops.
